Given my love for travel, photography and food, I guess a trip to Rajasthan was inevitable!
During February 2013 my family and I made a 10-day long driving trip across this beautiful state.
To begin my food journey in Rajasthan, here is one of the first unique and delicious treats we enjoyed - Kadai Doodh
A small roadside stall on MI Road was brightly lit but quite empty, and the evening chill had left us wanting something to warm us up.
We stepped in to see what they had - the main offering was Kadai Doodh which we had never heard of before. It's exactly what it sounds like - they take milk from a massive kadai where it's kept simmering, and pour it into really huge matka cups and serve with malai and nuts on top.
Delicious, warming, and a great way to kick off the journey!
